Prayer for Engaged Couples
What a gift it is to find love in another, so much so that they have decided to join together in Holy Matrimony, become one flesh, and begin a new journey. In honor of Valentine’s Day coming up, let us take the time today to pray for engaged couples who are on their way to the altar, especially during this great transition time in their lives.
For this reason a man shall leave [his] father and [his] mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. (Ephesians 5:31)
Here is today’s morning prayer:
Thank you, Jesus, for bringing this couple together and allowing them to find love in one another. We pray that they always keep You at the center of their relationship and honor You through this covenant they are about to make. We pray that they have a long, fruitful, and healthy marriage.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
