Prayer for Friendship
Valentine’s Day is more than just a romantic holiday; it is a wonderful time to express your love and gratitude for the platonic relationships in your lives. Whether you celebrate ‘Galentine’s Day’ or are simply spending time with friends, let us take the time to express gratitude for our friendships and pray for them today.
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:12-13)
Here is today’s morning prayer:
Thank you, Jesus, for the wonderful friends in our lives. We pray that they remain close to You and that our love for You strengthens our bond in friendship. We pray for the new friends we will make, and the friends we have lost along the way.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
