Prayer for Widows

Though Valentine’s Day is a beautiful season to spread love and joy to those around us, it can often be difficult to those in trying times, especially widows in mourning. In honor of Valentine’s Day coming up, let us take the time to pray for widows who are lonely on this day.

The righteous cry out, the LORD hears and he rescues them from all their afflictions. (Psalm 34:18)

Here is today’s morning prayer:

Dear Lord, we pray for widows in mourning. We pray that they find strength to continue their daily tasks and find peace in their hearts. Lord, we know You are close to the broken-hearted, please ease their pain and loneliness in these trying times.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
