The quote, which is included in the trailer for the new movie "God's Not Dead: We the People," was delivered by Reagan as he offered a series of pointed and touching reminders during an inaugural address as the governor of California.

"Freedom is a fragile thing and it's never more than one generation away from extinction," Reagan proclaimed. "And those in world history who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again."

Actor David A.R. White, co-founder of Pure Flix and star of "God's Not Dead: We the People," praised the quote and noted that its power and pertinence still stand today.

"I think so often we forget about the price that our soldiers, so many people before us laid down their lives [so] that we would be able to have this celebration of this freedom of religion, freedom of our right to bear arms," White said. "All of these different freedoms that are seeming to be taken away — and if we’re not careful they will be."
