7 Bible Passages About the End Times

If you loved the “Revelation Road” saga on PureFlix.com (now inlcuding the third movie, “Black Rider”), you may find yourself wondering where you can learn more about the end times. The “Revelation Road” saga was inspired by events described in the Book of Revelation, the prophetic book that concludes the New Testament’s common order.

The Book of Revelation is the first stop for most Christians when studying end times prophecy, but it is far from the only passage of scripture that describes the “last days.” If you’re interested in learning more about what the Bible says about the end times, here are some key passages for you to study outside the Book of Revelation:

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Mark 13:32 (KJV)

But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Joel 2:28-32 (KJV)

And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Matthew 24:21 (KJV)

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

These verses are just scratching the surface of all the Bible prophecies about the end times. When learning about the end times, it is important that we always remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 24:44 (KJV), “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
