Bure is known not only for her role as DJ, but also a strong Christian woman and mother in the film-making industry. She's personally shared her faith story with us. We feel like this quote from her 2020 interview with Fox News speaks to the magnitude of God's presence in Bure's life:
“My faith is really the foundation of who I am. It’s so important to me, and it’s always a part of me, whether it’s at home and privately, or when I’m reading the Bible in Bible study."
Bure expounded on the subject on "The Pure Flix Podcast" around the same time:
“My faith is just my life, it’s a part of it. It naturally flows from me and I feel like I’ve navigated my entire career differently than most people have,” she said. “The goal for me isn’t necessarily the next project or making more money or being a bigger star. I’ve always chosen the things that are true to me and that I’ve wanted to do.”
Living out her faith as actively as she does is a rarity in Hollywood. Her role as Chief Content Officer for Great American Media and as one of the owners of Candy Rock Entertainment that develops and produces television projects with an emphasis on family friendly content are also why she's held in high regard in the faith and family friendly entertainment world.
Bure has been married to former professional hockey player Valeri Bure for 27 years and they have 3 children together. Her eldest daughter Natasha has pursued acting roles as well.
