An appreciation to all Mom's this Mother's Day!

Mother’s Day is a moment to pause and recognize the extraordinary strength, sacrifice, love, and perseverance that mothers carry every single day - often quietly, and often without recognition. As a working mom myself, I’ve come to appreciate more deeply just how much motherhood asks of women. The balancing act is constant. We nurture, encourage, protect, teach, lead, comfort, and somehow continue showing up for the people we love even on the days when we are exhausted ourselves.

And yet, motherhood is also one of God’s greatest miracles.

I think often about Mary, the mother of Jesus, her courage, her faith, her humility, and her willingness to trust God even when the path ahead was uncertain. There is something so powerful in her example because it reminds us that strength and tenderness can exist together. That love can be both gentle and fierce. That motherhood is not perfection, it is sacrifice, endurance, and unwavering devotion.

Motherhood also extends far beyond one definition. Some women are raising children every day. Others are grandmothers, aunts, godmothers, mentors, neighbors, teachers, or lifelong friends who step into nurturing roles in ways that change lives forever. Some mothers work inside the home, others outside of it, and all deserve our gratitude and respect. There is no single picture of motherhood but at its core is love, responsibility, and the willingness to put others before yourself.

At Great American Family and Great American Pure Flix, we believe deeply in celebrating the values that bring families together, and motherhood is certainly a piece of that. The women who shape our homes, guide our children, strengthen our communities, and lead with faith deserve to be honored not just today, but every day.

This Mother’s Day, my prayer is for every mother and mother figure, for new moms and seasoned moms, single moms, step moms, and grandmothers, working moms and stay-at-home moms, grieving moms and hopeful moms. May you feel seen, appreciated, strengthened, and deeply loved. May God give you peace in the hard moments, joy in the little moments, and the reminder that what you do matters more than words can express.
