The next chapter in The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries is officially on the way, and we can't wait to head back to Sweet River! Candace Cameron Bure is returning as everyone's favorite small town sleuth in Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Model Maker, which is currently in production.
If you've been following the mystery series, get ready to put your detective skills to the test once again. This all-new mystery promises another twist filled case, plenty of suspects, and the return of the characters we've come to know and love.
Candace recently shared what she loves most about playing Ainsley, saying, "I've always loved solving a good mystery, but what I love the most about Ainsley is how fiercely loyal she is. I love how she'll do whatever it takes to help the people she loves, and I see a lot of myself in her that way."
She also reflected on what has made the series so special, sharing, "One of the greatest joys of building a mystery franchise has been watching a growing audience care about the characters. These stories have become more than standalone mysteries. We're inviting viewers back to Sweet River to spend time with friends they love."
Fans will also be excited to see familiar faces returning, including Aaron Ashmore as Fire Chief Jake Trenton and Robin Dunne as Sheriff Ryan McGregor.
In A Case for the Model Maker, When a murder shocks Sweet River, Ainsley is drawn into an investigation where carefully constructed models may hold the key to the truth and where the evidence begins to point dangerously close to home. As the case deepens, Ainsley turns to those she trusts most, including Sheriff Ryan McGregor (Dunne) and Fire Chief Jake Trenton (Ashmore) while the ever-curious Book Club once again lends its unique blend of determination, humor, and hometown intuition to the case. Together, they must unravel a mystery built on secrets, deception, and a crime scene that may be far more than it appears.
