40 Prayers Through 40 Days of Lent - Only on Great American Journal!

By Sabrina Novacov

The 40 days of Lent invites us into a slower, more intentional season of faith—one meant to be shared, especially within family. Lent encourages us to pause, reflect, and gently realign our hearts with God.

This season is about making space—space for prayer around the table, meaningful conversations, and moments of quiet that remind us God is near. Throughout these 40 days, we’ll be walking this journey together by publishing daily devotional blog posts, each paired with a prayer, a bible verse, and a faith-filled movie to reflect on as a family. These stories serve as conversation starters, helping readers connect themes of hope, sacrifice, forgiveness, and redemption to everyday life.

As we move toward Easter, our prayer is that these daily moments, reading, praying, and watching together, become meaningful moments of faith. Lent reminds us that growth happens one day at a time, and when families walk that path together, hearts are prepared, faith is strengthened, and hope is renewed.
