We had a terrific July Book Club meeting discussing C.S. Lewis’s The Screwtape Letters! We are grateful for everyone who joined.
Thank you for the book recommendations for our August meeting! You shared the stories and genres you love, and we heard you loud and clear. Many of you asked for a mystery, and so we’re excited to announce that our August selection is… Hazardous Duty by Christy Barritt.
In Hazardous Duty, when crime-scene cleaner Gabby St. Claire discovers evidence the police have overlooked, an ordinary assignment quickly becomes a dangerous investigation filled with secrets, difficult choices, and unexpected twists. It is a fast moving mystery that is sure to keep you turning the pages!
As an aside, the book was also turned into a movie, Squeaky Clean Mysteries: Hazardous Duty, starring Jessica Blackmore and Jaime Roy, and it is available to stream on Great American Pure Flix. You can watch the movie before or after reading the book and join us to compare the two!
