Oklahoma's Ford Burget will be helping America begin it's 250th Birthday Celebration on Great American Family!
This Independence Day, Great American Family is launching a meaningful new tradition with America Sings the Anthem, an initiative celebrating America's 250th birthday through the voices of people from communities across the country.
Kicking off the celebration on July 4 at 6:00 a.m. ET is 11-year-old Ford Burget of Oklahoma, whose inspiring National Anthem performance captured the hearts of millions earlier this year. After experiencing a brief sound malfunction during an Oklahoma Sooners softball game, Ford was encouraged by players, coaches, and thousands of fans who joined together to sing until he found his place again. The unforgettable moment became a powerful reminder of the unity and hope the National Anthem can inspire.

Ford will be the first featured voice in America Sings the Anthem, helping launch a new tradition on Great American Family. Viewers will hear renditions of "The Star-Spangled Banner" from students, families, churches, veterans, first responders, and community groups from across the nation.
"When we launched "America Sings the Anthem," our hope was to celebrate the people behind our country's story," said Bill Abbott, President & CEO of Great American Media. "Ford's experience reminded millions of Americans that the National Anthem has a remarkable way of bringing people together. An entire stadium chose encouragement over criticism, unity over division, and that's a beautiful reflection of the country we love. We couldn't imagine a better voice to help begin America's 250th birthday celebration and launch what we hope becomes a meaningful tradition for our viewers."
As Great American Media celebrates America's 250th birthday, America Sings the Anthem is a tribute to the people, stories, and shared values that continue to unite our country. Join us on July 4 as we begin this special celebration with a moment of gratitude, patriotism, and hope.
