Join us in January as we intentionally walk through Proverbs in 31 days, starting the new year rooted in God’s wisdom and committed to living set apart.
Theme: The Beginning of Wisdom — A Call to Stand Apart
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7 NIV)
Devotion:
Proverbs begins with a bold declaration: wisdom starts with God—not culture, not trends, not shifting opinions. In a world shouting for our attention, Proverbs 1 calls us to honor God first and build our lives on His unchanging truth.
This chapter introduces the contrast between the wise and the foolish—those who follow God’s voice versus those led by the world’s noise. As believers, we are called to stand firm: unmoved, unashamed, and uncompromised.
Reflection Question:
Where in my life do I most need God’s wisdom as I enter this new year, and what step can I take today to begin walking in it?
