Great American Family's Crossroad Springs star marks a career milestone with a deeply personal performance during Opry Goes Pink.
What a night to remember for Jillian Cardarelli!
The country music artist and star of Great American Family's hit original series Crossroad Springs celebrated a dream come true Tuesday evening, October 27, making her Grand Ole Opry debut in Nashville.
And this wasn't just any Opry performance. Cardarelli stepped into country music's legendary circle during the 18th annual Opry Goes Pink, a special evening supporting Susan G. Komen and breast cancer awareness.
For Cardarelli, the occasion carried extraordinary personal meaning.
Earlier this year, Cardarelli revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. After undergoing treatment over the summer, she shared the wonderful news that she is now cancer-free.
Just months later, she found herself celebrating a lifelong dream on one of country music's most treasured stages.
Speaking with Nashville's NewsChannel 5 ahead of her performance, Cardarelli described the occasion as a “very full-circle, big blessing.”
Among the songs she performed was “Happily Even After,” an original song she wrote before her diagnosis that has taken on an entirely new meaning following her personal journey.
The evening also featured country artists Megan Moroney, Deana Carter, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Mandy Barnett, with Moroney turning the Opry's iconic barn backdrop pink in recognition of the cause.
Great American Family viewers know Cardarelli as Janie Carson on Crossroad Springs, but her contributions to the popular original series extend far beyond her acting.
She also recorded and co-wrote the show's heartfelt title song, “Crossroad Springs,” alongside fellow series star Jonathan Stoddard and songwriter Ryan Sorestad. The song captures the series' themes of faith, family, resilience, and second chances.
Her country music career has also included collaborations with Vince Gill and Charles Esten, along with performances opening for legendary artists including Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire, Alabama, and Kenny Rogers.
Now, she can add Grand Ole Opry performer to that impressive journey!
At Great American Media, we're proud to celebrate Jillian and this remarkable achievement. Her talent, determination, and love for storytelling have made her a special part of the Crossroad Springs family.
Jillian, congratulations from your entire Great American Media family! We're cheering you on and can't wait to see what comes next.
Fans can watch Jillian as Janie Carson in Crossroad Springs on Pure Flix and Great American Family and listen to the series' original title song on their favorite music streaming platforms.
